Layla's Birthday Party!

Little Layla (Paul's niece) is about to turn one and her Mom and Dad threw her an early birthday party so that all of her family and friends could share in the fun day before they moved back to Idaho. For some reason, I only took pictures of her eating her cake. She was in a poofy, pink tutu before this (Her mom, Jessica, made it) and looked soooo cute! Wish I would have got a picture of her in it!

Singing "Happy Birthday"

"Is this what I'm supposed to do?"

"This is pretty good!"
So sweet...So cute!
Having fun!

Day full of fun/crazy-ness

I finally got to meet my sister's new dog, Jamba (as in Jamba Juice), the Jack Russell! She is about 2 years old, and is one HUGE ball of energy! She is soo cute, but Mango didn't necessarily like her, and Jamba didn't seem to like Mango much either. It was dog fight central at the Beaty house for quite some time; that is until "Grandpa" took the two dogs by himself to lock them up in the tennis courts up at the park to knock some sense into them...kinda like what he would do with Jessica and I when we used to fight haha! They ended up running around and having fun, with a few growls and nips here and there...but it didn't last long. As soon as they got back inside the house it was fight central again....although, it's been about a week or so since this all happened, and they saw each other again tonight, and had FUN with each other!! YAY!!!
Oh, and this night, I also hung out with my best friend Katie! She moved back to Washington!!

JAMBA!!
Opening the presents I got Jamba...Mango had to help too :)
My lovely sister with her new baby
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Katie with Jamba!
I love my pup so much!
Best friends forever!
She was sad...probably just got yelled at for attacking Jamba...but she looks so cute!

This is for you Mom! (others, if you have a weak tummy, don't look)

Here are my rafting wounds :) The pictures are kind of blurry because I had to take the flash off, but they give you some idea of what they look like.
Can you tell how swollen it is?
This is actually a hole in my toe :(

Summer Fun

Since Paul hasn't left back to CA yet, we have been trying to do a lot of fun things together before he does. Today we floated part of the Yakima River in Paul's new blow-up kayak. It was so much fun!!

The other day it was so windy and Mango's ears
were just standing straight up!
Mango LOVES sprinklers and Paul and I were driving the other
night and saw some sprinklers on, on campus so we ran out there
with Mango and seriously had the time of our lives! HAHA!

Getting the kayak ready to go float!
The pretty scenery
Where we started
Putting the oars together Gorgeous! We hiked up on this large cliff for Paul to jump off into the river...this is the view.
More view
Paul jumping in :)
He made it!!
Me, hiking back down
"Hurry up!"
It was so peaceful!
"Hi!!"
Tried to get us both in the picture
